It was nice to select a person to help fix the tuners on my Mandolin. KC was very knowledgeable and not only fixed my problem but also explained the type of old tuners the mandolin had. He helped solve some history issues with what we think was a modified “The Gibson”,most probably a 100 year old A2 (maybe A4 ?). - Skip

I brought two of my guitars that 3 other we'll just say “local luthiers" were supposed to wire up a solderless strat and a Jaguar and found out why they sounded so crappy until Kevin explained that ground wires were soldered to the spring on the switch and many other things that I can not even believe someone would have the audacity to call themselves a luthier and Kevin diagnosed the problems and was done the next day. Very good work comes with leaving your guitar for him to fix, I am happy I gave him a shot he made both guitars sound like they were supposed to and will not be using any other luthier in this area. The timing for my discovery of Kevin and KC Craftsman was ideal. I was more than in need of a qualified luthier. An ad popped up for KC Craftsman , so after discovery, gave Kevin a call. Took a hollow-body electric archtop in need up set up to Kevin. Got it back as fast as it gets and the attention to quality was top notch. Kevin did a great job setting up, restringing and cleaning my Takamine acoustic back in December. He also fixed the wiring on the LR Baggs pre-amp system inside the guitar. Kevin repaired my Gibson J-45 and now that baby sings! I had some bad sweat stains on the bottom bout and on the backside as well. Those are gone.. I had problems with the g,b and e strings being choked in the nut. He fixed all that plus a set up. Now that guitar sounds great. Very reasonable cost as well.
